Dynamic and Personalized Group Pilates Classes

Pilates exercise offers a wide range of health benefits including enhanced flexibility, increased core muscle strength, improved posture, and corrected muscular balance. John Garey Fitness & Pilates offers an extensive range of both mat and reformer group Pilates classes. Clients attending group Pilates classes enjoy targeted workouts in a dedicated private group Pilates training space featuring 10 STOTT PILATES reformers, 10 Pilates stability chairs, 10 TRX Suspension Trainers, and 10 individual Barres, plus other Pilates apparatus.

Reformer classes are an excellent way for a safe, fun workout with incredibly effective results! Pilates reformer classes are held in our dedicated Pilates space and a reformer orientation is required before participating in any group Pilates reformer class.  We offer a Group Orientation class for free with your Pilates membership or with a purchase of a reformer package, or you can take advantage of our Private Pilates Offer (three 30-minute sessions for $75).

Reformer Orientation is an introductory group pilates class to help you safely use, adjust, and workout on the STOTT PILATES Reformer. Wear your workout gear and learn the basic principles plus some essential reformer exercises. We offer a free Group Reformer Orientation with your Pilates membership or with a purchase of a reformer package.

Reformer Pure is perfect for anyone beginning Pilates or those looking to perfect, and get the most out of, basic Pilates reformer exercises. In addition to increasing body awareness and strengthening the core, expect muscle balance around the joints for improved posture.

Reformer Athletic Conditioning (AC) is unique, challenging, and open to all clients! AC uses both the reformer and Pilates chair to increase strength, mobility, and endurance. While ideal for athletes, the emphasis is on fun, fast, and safe fitness for all!  While all levels are welcome, taking the Pilates Pure and/or Reformer+ classes several times before joining AC will help you get the most out of this great workout.

Reformer+ combines traditional basic and intermediate reformer and chair exercises for a full body workout. While all levels are welcome, taking the Pilates Pure class before joining Reformer+ will help you get the most out of this great workout!

Reformer Advanced incorporates both the reformer and chair to challenge those who have mastered essential and intermediate level exercise and have taken at least 20 reformer Pilates classes previously. Intense and fast-paced, Reformer Advanced will take you to a new level of fitness! While all levels are welcome, taking the Pilates Pure and/or Reformer+ classes several times before joining AC will help you get the most out of this great workout.

Cardio & Pilates Reformer Classes

Jumpboard+ is the best way to burn calories and have fun! Jumpboard+ is low impact, high intensity using the Jumpboard or Cardio-Tramp Rebounder.  A trampoline surface (cardio trampoline) is attached to the end of the reformer allowing you to jump while lying on your back. This unique class is perfect for anyone looking to get a combination of pilates and cardio in one 50 minute session. All levels are welcome, and workouts are done lying down to protect the back while focusing on hip, knee, and ankle alignment.

Tramp and Reformer is too much fun - said everyone ever in a Tramp Class.  And combine that with segments on the amazing Reformer and you’ve got the perfect combination of cardio, strength and mobility.

Barre & Jumpboard / Cardio Tramp is heart pounding, calorie burning, and body changing! Check out this awesome combination designed to help you look and feel your best.  Great music and instruction so that you won’t believe it’s already over.

Cross Training Classes

Strength & Reformer Combines fitness and Pilates and is a great way to get the most out of your sessions. In this workout, you’ll combine the Reformer work with one or more of the following: Weights, Bands, TRX, and Med Ball. Get ready to build the body you want!

Barre & Jumpboard / Cardio Tramp is heart pounding, calorie burning, and body changing! Check out this awesome combination designed to help you look and feel your best.  Great music and instruction so that you won’t believe it’s already over.

Reformer Mobility because, everyone wants to be nimble!  The Reformer is one of the best ways to increase mobility.  This class is perfect for everyone from seniors who are looking to stay flexible, athletes who want a great recovery class, and weekend warriors who are looking for a competitive edge.

Barre and Reformer includes segments of fun and challenging Barre work, combined with the awesome Reformer repertoire, give you the perfect combination of intensity and full body sculpting.  No need to be a dancer for this workout, but we’ll get you moving to your own beat!


Pilates Mat and Reformer is two great things that go great together.  There is nothing quite like an excellent Mat workout  and when you combine it with the unique resistance capabilities of the Reformer, you get a great combination of abs, arms, legs, butt, shoulders, back...well... you get the idea.
